Even if we have thousands of acts of great virtue to our credit, our confidence in being heard must be based on God's mercy and His love for men. Even if we stand at the very summit of virtue, it is by mercy that we shall be saved.

St. John Chrysostom

I am wondering about the subject of "tithing" spoken about in the Old Testament. What is the Orthodox view on this? How much should we be giving to the Church?

Why did God give man free will, if He knew that man would choose evil?

Chrismation of the Morsey\'s
On Palm Sunday, April 17, 2011, over seventy people gathered for the celebration of the Lord's Entrance into Jerusalem as well as the reception of the Morsey family into the Orthodox Church through Holy Chrismation.

We heartily congratulate Alexis Christopher, Marina Laurie, and their children: Maleah Elizabeth, Isabella Carolyn, Gabriel Charles, Dominic Torquemada, and Maksimilian Krzysztof! May the Lord continue to bless their family, granting them health, strength, salvation, and many blessed years!
