Blessed is he who always has before his eyes that "the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof" (Ps. 23:1), and keeps in mind that God is powerful to arrange for His servants as is pleasing to Him.

St. Barsanuphius

In last week’s Gospel the Lord said that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. What does this mean? And do I have to literally give up all my possessions to enter Heaven?

But why would God create the world to look like it was millions/billions/trillions of years old when in fact it isn’t? Why would He trick us?

Miraculous Kardiotissa Icon

On Friday March 10th, Dn. Steven Hall led a group of pilgrims from Christ the Savior to Four Evangelists in Bel Air, MD, where the miraculous Kardiotissa “Tender Heart” myrrh-flowing icon of the Virgin Mary from St. George Orthodox Church in Taylor, PA, was brought for veneration. A moleben (prayer service of supplication) to the Mother-of-God was served before the icon, followed by anointings.
