Greetings on the Feast of Feasts, the Holyday of Holydays, the Pascha of the Lord!
Christ is risen! Indeed He is risen!
The celebration of the Lord’s Pascha is not only the festal climax of our liturgical year, but it is also the spiritual climax of our very lives – for in the vision of the Risen Lord, Who manifests Himself to us in our minds and hearts, we too become sharers in His Passover from death to life, from earth to heaven.
Through His death, burial, and resurrection the Lord has overcome once and for all sin, death, and the devil; bestowing new and eternal life not only to those who were held captive by death in Hades, but to each and every one of us who was held captive by the devil, sold under sin.
And so, as we celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection, let us rejoice in this new life which has radiantly shown forth from the Tomb, for by His death He has destroyed death and through His rising He has raised us all from our sins!
With love in the Risen Lord,
Fr. John
