New Altar Icons - 06/20/08
On Friday, June 20th, new icons of the Mother of God and Saint John the Baptist were installed in our altar. These icons together with the existing icon of Christ behind the altar table form what is called the ‘Deisis’ – the Greek word meaning intercession since the Theotokos and the Baptist are depicted making continual supplication for us before the Throne of Christ.May God bless the iconographer from Columbia, Maryland (who wishes to remain nameless) for his devout service in beautifying the Lord’s House!Â

On the Sunday of All Saints of North America, June 14, 2026, we welcomed five new members into the Holy Orthodox Church: Samara (Svetlana) Parsells, Joshua (Moses) Fantigrossi, Joshua (Paul) McKelvey, Rachel (Matrona) Rinas, and Kyle (Maximus) Rinas. We congratulate them, their families, their friends, and all who joined us for this joyful occasion.
