About the Subject: Saint Joseph, born Fragkiskos Kottis in 1897 in Lefkes, Greece, served in the Greek Navy and worked as a vendor in Athens before becoming a monk on Mount Athos. His dedication to prayer and asceticism led to his canonization by the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
