The 2026 Annual Parish Meeting of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church highlighted significant spiritual, numerical, and financial growth. Parish membership rose from 80 to 100, with 13 baptisms, 11 chrismations, 22 catechumens, and average Sunday attendance reaching approximately 127. Stewardship remained strong, meeting the $162,000 operating goal and finishing the year with a surplus, while over $309,000 was raised for capital and designated funds.
Major focus centered on building the new temple, reflecting both spiritual vision and tangible progress. The parish successfully completed a $100,000 matching challenge within seven months and began working toward a second $150,000 match. During the meeting, an extraordinary development was announced: the same donor committed an additional $250,000 matching gift beyond the original pledges. This brings the total matching opportunity to $500,000, meaning that if the parish fully responds, $1 million could be raised toward construction. These matching gifts were presented as a clear sign of momentum and confidence in the project. In addition, a deeply meaningful $50,000 memorial donation was received in memory of Matushka Annice Oleynik, further advancing the building effort and strengthening the parish’s resolve to move from preparation into the active phase of constructing the new temple.
Facility maintenance needs were addressed responsibly, finances were audited with no significant concerns, and the 2026 budget was approved. The Ambassadors’ Program was introduced to engage every household in prayerful, voluntary participation in the building effort.
Glory to God for all things!

On March 9, 2025, we celebrated the Sunday of Orthodoxy with a procession of icons to the Archway at our roadside entrance during the Divine Liturgy. There we had a reading of the ancient Synodicon, the affirmation of the Orthodox Faith that our salvation is proclaimed in both words and images, and the faithful recited the Nicene Creed. We congratulate all who celebrate on this day!
