On Sunday, July 26, Christ the Savior Orthodox Church joyfully celebrated several significant milestones in the life of the parish community.
The parish honored Archpriest John, Matushka Emily, Elisabeth, Alexander, and Nicholai for 20 years of faithful service to Christ the Savior. During these two decades, the Lord has richly blessed the parish through their ministry, and the community gathered in thanksgiving for all that God has accomplished.
The day also marked the 70th birthday of Archpriest Gary Breton and the 75th birthdays of Tony and Joanne Patrick. The parish offered heartfelt congratulations and prayers that the Lord would grant them all many blessed years.
Concelebrating the Divine Liturgy with Archpriest John Parsells, Archpriest Joseph Oleynik, Archpriest Gary Breton, and Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki, Fr. Timothy delivered a moving and insightful sermon, encouraging the faithful that God always bountifully provides whatever is needed.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Fr. John congratulated Fr. Gary, Tony, and Joanne on their birthdays. Fr. Gary then addressed the parish, speaking warmly about Fr. John and his family's 20 years of dedicated service to Christ the Savior and reflecting on the abundant fruit that God has brought forth through their ministry.
On behalf of himself and his family, Fr. John expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Gary for his kind words and thanked the entire Christ the Savior parish family for their love, prayers, encouragement, and faithful collaboration throughout the past 20 years. He noted that the priest, his family, and the parish are inseparable and that whatever blessings the parish has experienced have been the result of God's grace working through the faithful efforts and sacrifices of the entire community.
Following the Divine Services, everyone gathered for a festive luncheon in honor of all who were celebrating on this joyful day, enjoying fellowship and giving thanks to God for His many blessings.
As the parish offered prayers of thanksgiving for these many blessings, all joined in wishing Archpriest John, Matushka Emily, and their family, Archpriest Gary Breton, Tony Patrick, and Joanne Patrick many blessed and fruitful years of service to God and His Holy Church.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon will make an archpastoral visit to Christ the Savior on August 15-16, 2026, for our Patronal Feast. On Saturday, the Feast of the Dormition, Divine Liturgy with the blessing of flowers will be celebrated at 9:00am, followed by a Festive Lamb Roast with His Beatitude at 3:30pm and Great Vespers at 6:00pm. On Sunday, everyone is asked to gather by 8:30am to welcome Metropolitan Tikhon, followed by the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 9:00am. After Liturgy, we will process to the archway for our parish photo and conclude with a festive luncheon. Everyone is warmly invited to join us for this special weekend!
