On Sunday, February 15, 2026 with the blessing of our diocesan hierarch, Metropolitan Tikhon, the 2026 Parish Council members were installed into office. During the first meeting of the 2026 Council, Zachary Davidson was elected Senior Warden, Justin DeArmitt was elected Junior Warden, Ryan Harris was elected Treasurer. May the Lord bless them all!
Oath of Office
I, ____________, called now to serve and fulfill my responsibilities as a member of the Parish Council of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church in Berlin, MD, a parish of the Orthodox Church in America;
Solemnly promise to Almighty God, before His Holy Gospel and Life-creating Cross, that I shall fulfill the responsibilities placed upon me by this office with zeal and honesty, freely, with all sincerity and fear of God according to the requirements of the Statute of the Orthodox Church in America and of the By-laws of our parish;
I shall keep in mind, not my own ambitions, but the glory of God, the welfare of the Holy Church, and the salvation of my soul, remembering that I shall answer for all this to the Lord God at His Awesome Judgment;
I promise to concern myself with the cleanliness and beauty of the Holy Temple, and shall attempt to instill among my fellow parishioners: peace, harmony, and Christian love;
In testimony of this, my solemn promise, I kiss the Words of the Holy Gospel and the Life-creating Cross of my Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord.

On Bright Monday, we joyfully celebrated the Divine Liturgy with Fr. Gary Breton presiding for the first time at Christ the Savior, marking a blessed and memorable occasion for our parish. The festal joy continued after the service with the much-anticipated annual Bright Monday Snowball Massacre, where parishioners of all ages gathered in laughter and friendly competition, extending the radiant celebration of Pascha in a spirit of fellowship, delight, and shared resurrectional joy.
