Over the years, our parish has been blessed with many young children. As we all know very well, their innocence, simplicity and indefatigable zeal for life provide a great example for us to emulate as we seek to enter the Kingdom by becoming childlike. In an effort to give back to our children and their parents, we have decided to purchase a new sound system for the church.

In addition to allowing us “ring” bells before the services, we will now also be able to amplify and share the divine services in our fellowship area, where parents on occasion find themselves changing a diaper or comforting a crying child. This is no small thing for us, as now no one will be deprived of hearing the Gospel, sermon, or the Church’s beautiful hymnology because they are attending to the needs of their little ones. For this we praise God!

This endeavor was possible in part through a donation from the Altar Society of Martha and Mary from Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church in Paramus, NJ. What a wonderful thing for the Altar Society of Martha and Mary to help our parents unite the virtues of their two saintly patrons, by making it possible for them to listen to the Lord’s word while also serving their children!
