On Sunday, May 26, 2024, after the Divine Liturgy, we had our annual Cross Dive, which opened the swimming season at Christ the Savior. The faithful prayerfully asked the Lord God Almighty to bless the parish pool and the fellowship it provides, throwing in the life-giving Cross of Christ to sanctify the water. The precious Cross is then retrieved by the children of the parish, remembering the words of the Lord, "Anyone who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me." Crosses were retrieved by Eliana and Damiana Milite.
Prayer for the Blessing of a Pool
O Lord Jesus Christ our God, who didst command the disciples that the little children be brought unto Thee so Thou mightiest bless them: As the same Lord, by means of our unworthy prayers, look with mercy and beneficence upon the children of this parish and all those who desire to swim in this pool. And as our Lord and God, the Giver and Provider of every good thing, send down Thy divine blessing upon this pool so that it might be a source of joy and fellowship for Thy servants; assign to this pool a guardian angel to protect and preserve all those who swim in it; and grant us all a spirit of gratitude for the blessings Thou hast bestowed upon us so graciously, unworthy though we be.
For Thou art our God, and to Thee do we ascribe glory: together with Thine Eternal Father, and Thine All-holy, good, and life-creating Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

On March 9, 2025, we celebrated the Sunday of Orthodoxy with a procession of icons to the Archway at our roadside entrance during the Divine Liturgy. There we had a reading of the ancient Synodicon, the affirmation of the Orthodox Faith that our salvation is proclaimed in both words and images, and the faithful recited the Nicene Creed. We congratulate all who celebrate on this day!
